Educational Services Promoting STEM

The field of STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology, Maths) is the future. Now more than ever, students need the right support to thrive in education. Chem4STEM seeks to achieve this by working with Pupils, Parents and Schools. From group workshops to 1-1 online sessions, Chem4STEM has one clear mission: Change The Nation, Excel In Education.

OUR VISION

The vision at Chem4STEM is simple:

Uniting Pupils, Parents And Schools On A Mission In Achieving Academic Excellence In STEM.

We believe students are in need of various forms of support in education that extend past 9am-3pm in a classroom. Thus, Chem4STEM offers workshops for Pupils (1-1 topic tuition), Parents (STEM at Home) and Schools (Revision Sessions, STEM in the real world) to ensure students maximise their potential in the field of STEM.

OUR STORY

Dina, Founder of Chem4STEM

Chem4STEM is founded by Teacher of Chemistry and Londoner, Dina Dawit. Whilst completing a PGCE at UCL's Institute of Education, Dina was intrigued by education and believed there was room for improvement in the sector.

Setting up Chem4STEM was the first step towards overcoming the negative stigmas attached to STEM whilst encouraging the next generation of pupils

''Having recently completed my MA in Science Education at UCL whilst teaching Chemistry at Dulwich College, I can appreciate there are various contributing factors to a good quality education and I only hope Chem4STEM continues to grow into a vessel for educational excellence.''

Education is also a running theme in Dina's family; her grandfather, Weldemichael, was the first boy in his village to attend school in secret. Weldemichael later became a Teacher of English aged 23, whilst his granddaughter also set out to become a teacher at the exact same age.

''It is quite simple: if my grandfather did not attend school, I would not be standing here today. Education not only provides opportunities, it has the power to transform lives. By working with pupils, parents and schools, at Chem4STEM we look to strive towards our motto and mission: Change the Nation, Excel in Education.''
